Kutxabank will sponsor the prize awarded to stage winners at the 2026 Itzulia Women

The entity is committed to supporting top-level women’s cycling and will play a role at every stage of the event

Itzulia Women and Kutxabank have reached a sponsorship agreement for the 2026 edition. The bank will give its name to the prize awarded to the winner of each stage of the race.

The event will take place from 15 to 17 May and will bring together a number of teams from the international circuit.

The organisers believe that this kind of support helps to raise the profile of the race and the participating riders. Javier Riaño, the president of OCETA, said, “It is very important to us that Kutxabank has taken an interest of Itzulia Women and wants to be part of it.”

This is the first time that Kutxabank has been involved in Itzulia Women, and demonstrates its commitment to women’s sport and cycling in particular, a sport with a strong tradition and deep roots in the Basque Country that embodies the universal values with which the bank identifies, such as respect, discipline, teamwork and healthy competition.

“Values that are learned through sport, at both a grassroots and elite level, should be applied both when competing and in everyday life. “This also applies to the business and social spheres,” explained Marta Madinabeitia, director of the Gipuzkoa retail network.
