Basque company Irizar joins the Itzulia Women

Irizar becomes the Official Sponsor of the Itzulia Women. Irizar set to renew its support for women’s cycling, following its support for two editions of the women’s Clásica San Sebastián.

The organisers of the Itzulia Women have reached an agreement with Irizar, a leading company in the bus and coach sector. The Basque transport company becomes the Official Sponsor of the event, making clear its strong support for women’s sport. The organisation had already supported two editions of the women’s Clásica San Sebastián and did not want to miss out on the Itzulia Women to vindicate its commitment to this sport.

“For Irizar, such an important domestic company, to support an event like the Itzulia Women is great news for the race, but above all for women’s sport,” commented Julián Eraso, president of OCETA, adding that, “hopefully this agreement will be maintained over time, and we can count on solid sponsors for the Itzulia Women, a great project with a great future.”

“At Irizar we are delighted to collaborate with the Itzulia Women,” said Joseba Osinalde, President of Irizar. “We are firmly committed to women’s sport, even more so in our immediate surroundings, and we are excited to be part of this competition. We wish all the participants in the race an Itzulia Women and a future replete with victories and success”.
